4th Real-SOFC Summer School

Varna, Bulgaria, 2 to 7 September 2007

The 4th Real-SOFC Summer School will be held from 2 to 7 September 2007 at the Hotel Aqua Azur, St. St Constantine and Elena Resort in Varna, Bulgaria. The summer school will address the topic 'Manufacturing SOFC - From The Laboratory to the Industry and into the Market Place’.

Participants of the summer school can get 5 credit points according to ECTS after passing a test. For further information please contact Chem. Eng. Mariya Ivanova at the University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy in Sofia (m_encheva@abv.bg).

International Workshop on Degradation Issues in Fuel

Crete, Greece, 19 - 21 September 2007

This international workshop that will take place from 19 to 21 September 2007 in Crete, Greece aims at understanding fundamental degradation issues, as well as identifying measures to increase fuel cell lifetime and reliability, identifying future R&D activities for further understanding and reduction of degradation phenomena and identifying future activities for evaluating degradation and for harmonisation of test procedures. The workshop will have a session specifically dedicated to SOFC which will be chaired by the Real-SOFC coordinator Dr Robert Steinberger-Wilckens. Understanding SOFCs: What can we learn from „advanced methods“ and „accelerated testing“?

The aim of the workshop is to identify promising analysis methods and testing protocols to accelerate the durability evaluation for SOFC cells and stacks. The deadline for registration is 15 June 2007.

The main objective of this summer school is to give a detailed overview of the SOFC technology including fundamental aspects and basic features, materials’ processing and characterization techniques and its potential applications and contribution for a sustainable social development. 2nd Real-SOFC Workshop

The registration for the "Workshop on Characterization, Industrial Standards, and Quality Assurance in SOFC" during 22-23 June 2005 in Simmerath-Einruhr, Germany, is now closed. Introductory Summerschool on SOFC Technology

An Introductory Summerschool on SOFC Technology was organised by ICEHT/FORTH in Patras, Greece. During one week from 5th to 10th Sept 2004, the school provided a deeper insight into principles, materials, perspectives and persisting problems of the SOFC technology.



1st Internal RealSOFC Workshop

Cadarache, France, 18. - 19. Nov 2004

The first Workshop was attributed to SOFC materials held in Cadarache, France from 18-19th Nov 2004. 30 Participants dicussed latest results and trends for electrode, electrolyte, sealing and interconnect materials.
