The Foundation for Scientific and Industrial Research at the Norwegian Institute of Technology (SINTEF) group is a multidisciplinary contract research organisation that performs research and development in technology.
SINTEF had a total turnover of 225 M€ in 2001 and a staff of about 1900. The group co-operates with the Norwegian University of Science and Technology and the University of Oslo. SINTEF Materials Technology is a division in the SINTEF Group with 150 employees, 60 PhD students and 30 associated professors. The Functional Ceramics group in SINTEF Materials Technology works in the fields of inorganic membranes, SOFC, hybrid materials and coatings, ferroelectric oxides, and process development based on functional ceramics. |
