UGINE & ALZ (Groupe Arcelor) is one the Europe's major stainless producers. The two companies, UGINE and ALZ, were merged at the creation of the Arcelor Group - the world's No.1 steelmaker - and today offer the widest and most comprehensive range of stainless steel flat products in the market.
Plants are located in France and Belgium, at Isbergues (F) , Gueugnon (F), l'Ardoise (F) Carlam (B), Genk (B), the Headquater is located at Paris-La-Defense (F) and many service centre through Europe. Some key figures (1) A turnover of 2.12 billion Euro, (2) Annual production 1.29 million tonnes; (3) 5 600 people and (4) 9 service centres. The aim of UGINE & ALZ is to facilitate the use of its materials and to develop new products that better meet customer requirements, based largely on a policy of permanent innovation. Ugine & Alz has two research centres in Isbergues and Gueugnon. |
