St Andrews University (USTAND)

St Andrews University (USTAND) is the oldest university in Scotland with an undergraduate population of about 6000. The fuel cells activity is associated with the Centre of Advanced Materials and the School of Chemistry. 

St Andrews has excellent facilities for solid state and high temperature electrochemistry research and is at the forefront of UK activity. Facilities include state of the art X-ray diffractometers, transmission and scanning electron microscopy facilities, a full range of thermal analysis and chemical analysis capabilities. 

The fuel cells group has a wide range of ceramic processing and electrochemical characterisation facilities. The group currently comprises of 20 researchers, half of which are of postdoctoral status.
